This site contains images created by Eti Swinford.  My art is a representation of those sights, sounds, and smells of the imagery I see around me.

Photography is a method to capture those moments AND those pieces of moments.  My camera has become a tool to grab bits and pieces from the world around me to bring together and form a new scene for the viewer to experience.

I am a native of Florida and have long since enjoyed my surroundings and the creatures I share the world with.  Florida has changed dramatically through the years.  The beauty changing as well becoming subtle and dear.  When it is found it must be captured!  Many things I have seen are long gone.  Changed by mankind or nature herself.  My regrets, I did not have the insight to take the image and preserve it.

As I type, the Gulf of Mexico is being polluted by the explosion of a large oil platform called the Deep Horizon.  As the Deep Horizon went down the pipe line drilled deep into the ocean floor split apart and broke allowing the oil to flow freely into the Gulf.  Oil is spilling continually from this comprimised process of deep water drilling.

Not only were 11 human lives lost but this tragedy has killed and will continue to kill many life forms both in and at the edges of the Gulf of Mexico for many years to come.   This is not to mention the ruin of peoples lively-hoods as they depend on the sea to make a living in the fishing and tourism industries.

Savor the moments as in an instant they can be gone!
